I stand in the ocean of unsure depths, How did I get here? Does it still shimmer? Its beauty; extinguished, consumed, shaded Waves crash, selfishly, shamelessly, over me The sharp splashes hits the surface like spears; Hear that eruption like savage lions, shaping and pushing the once shy and still. I stand in the ocean of unsure depths. Who can withstand this punishing being? Washing away the sunshine I had known. Cautiously I move, down and down I’m pushed Don’t let me go under, don’t let me drown, Is anyone out there to save me now? I crumble in the ocean of unsure depths I shout, the cries showering from my soul Could this ever be just shallow waters? I’m so desperate to feel solid ground and in that moment sunshine becomes shears. Shadows take shelter until they vanish A crash of a wave smooths the ocean out. My eyes searching the shimmering blanket, compassionately cushioning my feet. A Saviour dressed in white sharpens His stare. His hand stretched out, pointing to the seashore, my sight is sharing his soothing affection Glimmering and polished, I see it now, A path, a destination, fresh, renewed. Out I step from ocean of unsure depths.
