Bright lights penetrate my dull, weary eyes, blinding but not blind, fearful but not scared. Bright lights abundantly flooding the skies, stunning glory, this cannot be compared. Tangible beauty that washes my cries, perfect, pure, paradise, am I prepared? Every sorrow and sadness quickly dies, I am in a place the Lord has declared. Jasper, sapphire, topaz all arise, emerald, beryl, amethyst none spared. Stunning, striking, spectacular, it defies, everything I knew, every way I fared. A city of pure gold like clear glass flies, transcendent, sparkling gems they’re unimpaired. The gates never shut, the night it denies, the sun is not needed, the moon unpaired. “Behold I make all things new”, see His thigh, “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” it’s declared. North, East, West and South, 3 by 12, sky-high, children of Israel, you are repaired. A Saviour has come, I will not be shy, for the Lamb is the light, we are now paired. Bright lights bring glory and honour thereby, From the darkness, I am saved, set free, spared. Bright lights illuminate and purify, “These words are true and faithful”, don’t be scared.
