Hello, and welcome to this week’s devotional. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, take a minute and breathe. Breathe in the Holy Spirit and exhale the world. Jesus longs to meet with you and hear your voice. Let Him fill you with His perfect love and peace as we dive into this week’s passage.
THE GREAT I AM. In amazement and wonder.
‘I AM who I AM—the everlasting. I am the Alpha and Omega. The Beginning and End. The First and Last. All things with life start and end with me. There is no one greater than me. You are under my protection, and my grace is always sufficient. I was before you came to this earth. I was before the very foundations of this earth came into existence. I was the light before the sun. I was, I am, and I will forever be. Greater than the world’s understanding of great, abounding with love. Who can conquer me? Who can reach my transcendent power and forgiveness? There is none. The mountains tremble, and the sea will split. I need no explanation, no justification. I made you in my image, with eminence and love. I overflow with abundant goodness and rule with a mighty fist. I have the world in the palm of my hand. There is no other. None in the days of old, none to come. I AM who I AM, and I cloak you in my glory.’
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” - Revelation 1:8
