Hello, and welcome to this week’s devotional. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, take a minute and breathe. Breathe in the Holy Spirit and exhale the world. Jesus longs to meet with you and hear your voice. Let Him fill you with His perfect love and peace as we dive into this week’s passage.
WHO AM I IN YOU? A wanderer? A sinner? Am I lost?
‘You are my prized possession. My child and my cherished one. I carved you in your mother’s womb, and I know you intimately. Woven in my abundant love, you are exactly how I created you to be. Beautiful. Fearfully and wonderfully made by my hands. The same hands that created this earth have formed you. You are precious, and I look at you with gladness. Yes. I am well pleased with my creation. I have given you a heart of beauty and wonder. You are princes and princesses, and you sit by my right hand. Clothed in glory, you are royalty and so beautiful to me. You have been stamped with the mark of perfect works. As a child is stamped with the marks of their parents, you have been stamped by your Heavenly Father. You are claimed and packaged in kindness, gentleness and love. You are who I say you are. My Word is living. It is final and solid.’
“¹³ For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. ¹⁴ I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” - Psalms 139: 13-14
Reflection
How has your identity changed over the years?
Do you ever feel that what Jesus says about your identity in Him can’t be true? If so, why is that, and how can you combat that?
