Hello, and welcome to this week’s devotional. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, take a minute and breathe. Breathe in the Holy Spirit and exhale the world. Jesus longs to meet with you and hear your voice. Let Him fill you with His perfect love and peace as we dive into this week’s passage.
A CONFLICTING HEART. Ready for unity.
Torn in two as you separate yourself from the world. Torn in two as you start breaking those bad habits. Your heart feels conflicted as you pull away from the comforts you had known. I know, child. I know it’s hard, but I never said it was easy. In my Words, you’ll find a challenge, but for every challenge, you’ll find greater comfort. Greater rewards. Heavenly promises. Child, I see your heart and I see your will. Your will is strong, and with my Spirit, it is stronger. For what seems impossible, the Spirit makes possible, and a conflicting heart is bonded in unity. This world can only offer you fleeting pleasures. Pleasures that thieves can break into and steal. Dressed up to the nines to later fall beneath your feet, so put your conflicting heart to rest. I promise you, I can offer you something much greater. So, join your heart in unity with the Spirit and lean into my promises. As you part ways with the world, I will make your conflicting heart whole. A heart of clarity and passion. Excitement and joy. I call you for more than a conflicted heart.
“What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?” - James 4:1

What worldly pleasure do you struggle most with letting go of?
How can you further lean into Jesus to defeat the grip of sinful ways in your life?
